Located in Stouffville, Ontario Canada, we are a family business creating all-natural, vegan skincare and aromatherapy including our home grown and distilled Hydrolat sprays, Chakra Series sprays and rollers. We truly believe in shopping local as much as we can and source and sell products that we love from Canadian companies. All of our products are vegan, sustainably sourced and reusable. Our bottles and packages are not only beautiful but they are also refillable and recyclable (if you decide to let them go).
My name is Sarah Vezer, certified Clinical Aromatherapist, Mama to 3 young boys, wifey to Brandon and the Creator of Urban Country Organics. I grew up in Toronto and now live in the beautiful town of Stouffville, Ontario with my loving husband Brandon and three beautiful little boys, Forest, River and Atlas. Before becoming a wife, mother and skincare creator I was a corporate Pilot flying all across Canada and the US. I have always had trouble with my skin however during my time as a professional Pilot, it seemed to be at its worse. I would often have breakouts, swollen eyes and irritation not knowing that it was a direct result of commercial skin products that I was using to try to heal it. In fact, the more I tried to fix my skin with these chemical laden products, the worse it became. That is when I realized I needed to make a change. I started to do some research and began making my own skincare products. Over the past 7 years, I have been making, adjusting, testing and exploring with all-natural, vegan and high quality products to find the perfect blends and combinations to address my sensitive skin. I have attended workshops, read countless books about and learned all about the incredible plant-healing powerhouse ingredients that I could use to treat all kinds of skin conditions and how to use them. Overtime, I began to make larger batches of my products and would gift them to family and friends. In doing so, the reaction and feedback from everyone was always extremely positive and everyone encouraged me to make my products available for purchase so that I may share my gentle and effective creations with others. This inspiration was a true push for me in the direction of starting my own skincare line. Our family goals had been set years ago to start our own business here in Stouffville but we forecasted a startup date years down the road as we wanted to have all of our boys in school. However with the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns we found ourselves perfectly set up to begin a new chapter. This brings me to Brandon. He is a creative, smart, and ambitious Captain at Porter Airlines and the most creative and capable human. Since he had been home as a result of the Airline's temporary closure, he spent the most adoring amount of time with us as a family, and also to create more wonderful pieces in the workshop. His skills are literally endless and he has made this entire venture possible.
In September of 2023 I completed my 2 year Clinical Aromatherapist Certification course at with the School of Essentria. I will always continue to learn, study, experiment and research in order to create the highest quality and best healing products using all of natures gifts from across the world. Each UCO product is designed to help promote healthy skin, mind, body and soul.
Using plant-based and sustainable products is extremely important to me. I have been a vegetarian for over 35 years and have a desire to reduce my carbon footprint on this earth as humanely and kindly as I can while also teaching my children and others who want to learn about how we can reduce our impact on this planet.
